Waves of Opportunity Foundation is committed to environmental stewardship, climate justice, and sustainable practices in all operations. This policy guides our nonprofit to minimize environmental impact while advancing our mission of ocean access, marine education, and blue economy pathways for historically excluded youth. We integrate climate action into programming, operations, and partnerships to protect coastal ecosystems and build resilience.

   • Promote ocean safety and literacy on climate threats like sea-level rise and acidification.

2. Operations:

   • Minimize single-use plastics; provide reusable water bottles and upcycled merchandise.

   • Optimize transportation via carpooling, public transit, and beach-accessible locations.

   • Source grants and sponsors from sustainable brands (e.g., Patagonia, REI equivalents).

3. Office & Administration:

   • Digital-first workflows to reduce paper (grants, marketing via Google Workspace).

   • Energy-efficient equipment; remote/hybrid staff options to cut commuting emissions.

   • Annual carbon footprint audit with goals for 20% reduction yearly.

4. Waste & Resource Management:
